The Flag of Wittenberg, Germany is a heraldic banner that symbolizes the city of Wittenberg, located in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. The flag consists of four equally divided quarters. The top left and bottom right quarters display white backgrounds with a black cross (St. Andrew's cross). The top right and bottom left quarters show the arms of the Margraviate of Brandenburg, which is a black eagle displayed on a silver-white shield. This design represents the historical significance of Wittenberg as part of the Margraviate of Brandenburg and its association with the Reformation, due to Martin Luther's influence in the city during the 16th century. The flag was officially adopted by the City Council of Wittenberg on July 23, 1957.
